Stop Illegal Car Clubs in Waterloo Place

Illegal Car Club

Hundreds of super cars have regularly descended on Waterloo Place, often late at night, to perform dangerous driving manoeuvres and rev their engines. The meet ups cause significant noise nuisance to local businesses and residents, often beyond midnight.

They also often drive dangerously - doughnutting and wheel spinning within metres of pedestrians.

Local Conservative Councillors have been working closely with the Metropolitan Police’s Transport Command and our local neighbourhood police to stop these illegal gatherings and fine the perpetrators who do turn up.

The funding for the police team, that has been so effective in reducing this problem, has recently been withdrawn. If you want to see this police budget reinstated, to stop the illegal car clubs, please sign our petition below.

Restore police funding to tackle rogue car clubs and boy racers in the heart of London

Tuesday, 22 October, 2024
Recently, Waterloo Place has been plagued with anti-social behaviour by "boy" racers, who frequently gather late at night sporting their high-performance cars. We are witnessing loud engine revving, dangerous driving, cars mounting pavements and aggressive behaviour by the organisers.
